AFRICAN BASKETS

It is always our goal to provide beautiful, functional, and unique African arts and crafts for the home, office, or gifts - while fully implementing Fair Trade principles to further the economic development of the African basket weavers.

These beautiful baskets come from individual disabled entrepreneurs and small groups of women and disabled weavers. These determined vulnerable entrepreneurs usually weave these as deep open bowls in tan, brown and black. An interesting tidbit - Uganda is the source of one of the legs of the the mighty Nile River.

Baskets are woven from plentiful local grasses and papyrus found at the edge of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest where chimpanzees and gorillas can be found living - the only place in Africa where both types of apes live in the same forest.
Other products are African shoes, African bags, African wallets, African belts, and African Jewelry.
